Saints have no surprise inactives for game with Bucs

NEW ORLEANS – There were no big surprises on the list of inactives for the Saints for today’s game with the Tampa Bay Bucs in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Not dressing for the Saints are T Zach Strief (ankle), CB Corey White (knee), RB Chris Ivory (hamstring), LB Scott Shanle, DE Turk McBride, TE Michael Higgins and DT Tyrunn Walker.

The Bucs’ inactives are CB LeQuan Lewis (knee), RB Michael Smith, LB Najee Goode, G Roger Allen, WR David Douglas, DT Corey Irvin and DT Matthew Masifilo.

ROSTER MOVES: The Saints on Saturday made two roster moves, putting free safety Malcolm Jenkins and tackle Charles Brown on injured reserve.

Jenkins hurt his knee in last Sunday’s loss to the New York Giants, while Brown has been sidelined with a knee injury since their Nov. 18 game with the Oakland Raiders.

The Saints promoted safety Jerico Nelson, a former Destrehan High School standout, and guard Ricky Henry from their practice squad to take the roster spots of Jenkins and Brown.
