Saints agrees to terms with Galette on three-year contract

The Saints on Saturday announced they have agreed to terms on a three-year contract with linebacker Junior Galette, one of the team’s four restricted free agents.

Galette, a 6-foot-2, 258-pounder, originally signed with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Stillman College in 2010 and made the 53-man roster in training camp.

Formerly a defensive end, Galette will make the switch to linebacker in the team’s new 3-4 scheme.

Galette has appeared in 32 games in his first three seasons with two starts. He has 51 total tackles, five sacks, one pass defense and one forced fumble, and also has 12 tackles on special teams.
