Saints’ Pierre Thomas inactive for divisional playoff game

SEATTLE– Saints running back Pierre Thomas is inactive for Saturday’s divisional playoff game with the Seattle Seahawks.

Thomas, who suffered a chest injury in the team’s regular-season finale on Dec. 29 and did not play in last week’s wild-card game with the Philadelphia Eagles, was listed as questionable Friday.

Thomas practiced on a limited basis Thursday before the Saints departed forSeattle, the first time he’s been able to get on the field since he was injured. That suggested that he might have a chance to play until he was listed as an inactive Saturday.

The other inactives for Sean Payton are WR Nick Toon, DE Tyrunn Walker, LB Rufus Johnson, CB Terrence Frederick, S Jordan Pugh and QB Ryan Griffin.

Saints linebacker Keyunta Dawson is active for the first time since suffering a calf injury in a Nov. 21 game with the Atlanta Falcons.

The inactives for the Seahawks are LB K.J. Wright (foot), DT Jordan Hill (groin), G James Carpenter, WR Bryan Walters, RB Christine Michael, T Caylin Hauptmann and DE Benson Mayowa.
