WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. — Saints wide receiver Nick Toon was knocked out of action on a play in the end zone during Tuesday’s practice with a bruised shoulder, according to a source.
Toon briefly left the field and returned after a few minutes. It is not yet known if he will miss additional time.
Toon is part of a handful of receivers who are vying for one of the final roster spots behind Brandin Cooks, Kenny Stills, and Marques Colston.
Toon appeared in eight games last season, finishing with four catches for 68 yards.
