Drew Brees, Champ Bailey among those questionable against the Rams

ST. LOUIS — The following Saints are not expected or are questionable to play Friday night due to health-related considerations based off of recent attendance at practice:

QB Drew Brees: Has missed the last four games with left oblique strain. The Saints have not ruled Brees out, but there isn’t much incentive to put him on the field for a preseason game. If he is unable to play, Ryan Griffin and Luke McCown should see a good amount of snaps.

WR Kenny Stills: Has been limited after suffering a quad injury in the first practice of camp.

LB Victor Butler: Has missed the last three practices with an undisclosed injury.

FB Erik Lorig: Has missed the last three practices. FB Greg Jones was signed earlier this week.

CB Champ Bailey: Has missed the last five practices with an undisclosed injury. If he is unable to play, Patrick Robinson will likely get the start opposite Keenan Lewis.

WR Andy Tanner: After a hot start to camp, Tanner has missed the last two practices with an undisclosed injury.

CB Terrence Frederick: Has missed the last week of practice after suffering a minor injury.

G Ben Grubbs: Has been sidelined for more than a week with an undisclosed ailment.

G Jahri Evans: Has been missing for undisclosed reasons.

TE Je’Ron Hamm: Has not practiced since suffering an injury in the Black and Gold scrimmage.

OL Ty Nsehke: Has been sidelined for undisclosed reasons.
