Prairie View comes through with 23-20 victory at Mumford

Yet again, Southern had a chance to pull out a pivotal Southwestern Athletic Conference victory in A.W. Mumford Stadium.

Yet again, the offense fell asleep in the second half. Yet again, the Jaguars had a chance to mount a game-winning drive in the fourth quarter.

But Prairie View recovered a Dray Joseph fumble, drained the clock and got a game-winning 19-yard field goal from Christopher Barrick with 10 seconds remaining. The Panthers escaped with a 23-20 win.

We’ll be back with a more detailed breakdown Sunday afternoon here on the blog.

Until then, feel free to shake your head.
