I saw in an online post where the QB from Southern Lab was listed as an athlete, and also where they signed a QB from another state. Do you know if Coach Odums plans to use Shorts as a QB, or if he plans on using him at another position?

I will be at work during chat but had a couple of questions.How will the addition of former LSU signee Calvin Godfrey impact the team next year?Whats the status of former U high signee Chase Stanley?I see him on the bench in street clothes during the games.Will he ever play for SU?

I believe that AD Broussard made a very difficult, but accurate decision in dismissing Mitchell as Head Coach. I didn’t approve of Mitchell’s hiring after the dismissal of Coach Richardson. I firmly believe that his hiring was a buddy-buddy collaboration with his former NFL teammate and friend, ex-Southern AD Greg LaFleur. I don’t believe that either of them had the best interest of the SU football program as their main priority. But, it is what it is!! I’m just thankful that Stump is gone. Now we can start anew.

Do you know Southern’s 2012 Summer Baseball Camp dates ? I will be a High School Senior next year. I’m a baseball player and i’m interested in Southern. I wish Stump Mitchell well on his tenure in black coellge football at Southern University.It appears that he is trying to implement a pro style culture at Southern. The problem is that he does not have the size and skill level in the players to sucessfully carry it out. His staff does not have the experience with these low skill players. I miss Pete Richardson very much. Pete and his staff had the experience and understood the culture of black coellge football .. He knew he was not getting the 5 star players, but he took his talented, athletic players and built a power house based on their strengths.Stump is doing the opposite. Stump still is trying to force the run and it is not sucessful yet. The SWAC has and always will feature the passing game first. He has the NFL experience, but not black coellge ball knowledge. Bring back Pete and let him break all of A.W. Mumford records.
