LSU is ranked No. 10 in Baseball America’s preseason poll, which was released Thursday.
The Tigers, the reigning Southeastern Conference champions, had previously been ranked No. 4 by Collegiate Baseball and No. 5 by Perfect Game, which also named outfielder Raph Rhymes, catcher Ty Ross and second baseman JaCoby Jones second-team All-Americans.
LSU begins preseason practice Friday, which will also be Media Day. The Tigers open the season at 7 p.m. on Feb. 15 against Maryland in Alex Box Stadium.
