LSU goes for sweep vs. Maryland

LSU will try to sweep its season-opening series when it plays Maryland at noon Sunday in Alex Box Stadium.

The third-ranked Tigers won their season opener 1-0 on Friday, then beat the Terrapins 5-1 on Saturday.

Sunday’s game will be played in cool weather, but not as chilly as the previous two days. The wind is lighter than it was Saturday and blowing out to left-center rather than from left to right as it was Saturday.
