LSU set to face BYU at 6 p.m.

The skies have cleared and the weather should not be an issue for the first time in three days as No. 3 LSU plays BYU at 6 p.m. Saturday at Alex Box Stadium.

The Tigers improved to 5-0 when they beat the Cougars 6-5 Thursday in a game that was played in the wake of afternoon showers and under threatening skies. LSU’s game against Southeastern Louisiana was suspended due to severe with no score in the bottom of the first Friday night. That gave will be resumed at 1 p.m. Sunday with the Tigers having runners on first and third with two outs and Mason Katz facing a 1-1 count.

The Lions defeated BYU for the second consecutive day, 3-2, Saturday afternoon. BYU is 2-5.
