LSU shortstop Alex Bregman and ace Aaron Nola have landed on another preseason All-American team.
Baseball America has Bregman as a first team designated hitter and Nola a second team starting pitcher on its preseason teams released Monday.
It’s the third preseason All-American teams on which the duo has landed. The Baseball Writers Association and Perfect Game both pegged Bregman and Nola on its teams.
Bregman, a sophomore from New Mexico, hit .369 with 52 RBIs last season and was named the 2013 National Freshman of the Year during LSU’s run last season the College World Series.
Nola, a junior from Catholic High, went 12-1 with an ERA of 1.57 and struck out 122 batters. He was a First Team All-American and the SEC Pitcher of the Year last season.
LSU, ranked in the top 10 in most preseason polls, begins the season Feb. 14 by hosting New Orleans. The Tigers travel to Zephyr Field to face UNO on Feb. 15 and return home Feb. 16 for a game against Grambling.
