Coming up soon

The next few days are busy ones in the Capital City. Capital Area United Way’s Shaken or Stirred Celebrity Waiters event tonight at Tsunami pits Todd Graves and Matt Saurage against their wives, Gwen and Catherine. The fun begins at 5 p.m.

Tomorrow at 5 you can join me at RussoRoss boutique for “Women who weren’t born yesterday” for Promises, Promises benefiting the Susan G. Komen for the Cure and then head to Juban’s for its Charles Krug dinner. I had the pleasure of visiting the Krug winery in May – fab wines and the menu looks equally tempting. Give them a call at 346-8422 for your reservations.

I’m baaaack!

Well, I finally connected with Ashley to get trained on our new platform for blogging and posting photos – just in time for the social scene to heat up with tons of fun events. I’m still polishing up the photo part but photo galleries will be up soon.

Meanwhile, the calendar is filling up fast. Tonight is Forum 35′s Viva il Vino event; you migh be able to still get tickets at www.forum35.org.  Tomorrow starts off with two luncheons – the Red Cross Power of the Purse and Battered Women’s Justice For All , followed by Mid City Redevelopment Alliance’s 25th anniversary celebration and the Baton Rouge Symphony’s Opening Night, featuring violinist Giora Schmidt, who’s quite handsome and personable. I had the pleasure of meeting him earlier today. You can still get tickets to the symphony at www.brso.org. See you around town!!
