A bill its sponsor says is designed to keep the Bayou Country Superfest at LSU’s Tiger Stadium for years received final legislative passage Friday morning.
The state Senate approved a Louisiana House amendment that stripped a provision that would have asked the state forego sales tax revenues from the event. Senate Bill 475, which now goes to the governor, would continue a tax rebate that amounts to about a $300,000 loss in local sales tax revenues for entertainment events that take place at LSU Tiger Stadium.
