Juban’s to hold winemaker’s dinner

Juban’s Restaurant, will hold a DeLoach Vineyard Winemaker’s Dinner on Nov. 8 with special guest Brian Maloney, the cellar master.
Tickets are $55 per person plus tax and gratuity for the 6:30 p.m. reception and 7 p.m. dinner. The five-course menu prepared by executive chef Jaime Hernandez will include shellfish chowder, lamb and chèvre, seared Gulf yellowfin tuna, daube and flourless chocolate cake with satsuma and mint ice cream. Jay Ducote, Roux Wine & Spirits to host pop-up wine dinner

Chef Jay Ducote, of BiteandBooze.com, and Roux Wine & Spirits, 17540 Airline Highway, Prairieville, are hosting a Vending Machine Winery Pop-Up Wine Dinner 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Neil and Monica Gernon will bring four wines and Jay’s created courses that include at least one ingredient found in a vending machine, including a … wait for it … Skittles vinaigrette. Tickets are $75.

 

Latour to visit Martin Wine Cellar in Metairie

Louis Fabrice Latour of Maison Louis Latour, the oldest family run winegrower/merchant in Burgundy, will visit Martin Wine Cellar’s Metairie location, 714 Elmeer. Martin will host a casual tasting of 22 Louis Latour wines, accompanied by appetizers and cheeses, at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
