Alabama 9, LSU 0, Halftime

Wow.

Alabama leads 9-0 and it could much, much, much worse.

Check out the stats. Alabama has 13 first downs to one for LSU. Forty-one plays to 17. And 225 yards to 43. A.J. McCarron has 156 passing yards.

And that’s the difference beween Monday and the first meeting in Tuscaloosa. McCarron is making plays. After he left play after play on the field, so far in the first half, he has avoided sacks and moved the chains while completing 18 of 25 passes.

Trent Richardson, bottled up for much of the half, still has 53 yards on 11 carries.

On the other hand, LSU has been more conservative than a Tea Party rally. Jefferson is 6-for-7 for 26 yards. Nice completion percentage, but no the Tigers haven’t been taking chances.

Best thing about this year is George is gone. He needs to take Miles with him. I guess in second half we will run the same plays
