Rain forces parking, traffic changes for LSU-Auburn game

Heavy rains Friday night and early Saturday has forced LSU to close four parking lots for Saturday’s Auburn game:

  • Hayfield lot (free parking) – CLOSED
  • Old front 9 (free parking) – CLOSED
  • Lot 103 (permit) – CLOSED; will be re-directed to Lot 102 (Nicholson Apartments)
  • Lot 106 (permit) – CLOSED; will be re-directed to Lot 406 (by Tiger Softball Park)

The Levee Lot, which also has free parking, remains open. However some parts of the Levee Lot will be closed because of standing water.

LSU officials also said the intersection of Burbank Drive at Nicholson Drive has been closed due to high water, forcing fans who use those approaches to seek alternate routes to campus.

Individual game parking is available at the new Union Square Parking Garage, which is located on East Campus Drive across from the Student Union just south of the Law School. Parking costs $40 each.
