LSU graduate assistant Ryan Pugh is following former LSU assistant Frank Wilson to Texas-San Antonio, UTSA confirmed.
Wilson, the Tigers’ ex-recruiting coordinator and running backs coach, left the program last week for the head coaching job at UTSA.
Pugh, a former Auburn center, joined the LSU staff in January 2015, helping offensive line coach Jeff Grimes with the unit. Pugh, a four-year starting center for Auburn in 2007-10, played for Grimes at AU and coached with him as a grad assistant at Virginia Tech before moving to Baton Rouge.
FootballScoop.com originally reported that LSU defensive analyst and former Tigers star would join Wilson at UTSA as a defensive backs coach, but the site later reported that Jackson would remain at LSU.
